An experienced educator and former elementary school principal, James has dedicated his life to the power of narrative, firmly believing that all great teaching is rooted in compelling storytelling. Living and writing just west of Boston, he draws on familiar local landscapes to ground his mystery series in a deep sense of place and heart.
James’s “feel-good” mysteries invite readers to embrace kindness as a way of life, featuring stories where trust, friendship, and love truly flourish—even when they begin with a murder. His writing is deeply shaped by a diverse professional background spanning school administration, special education, and pastoral care in a children’s hospital. James holds degrees from Boston University and Harvard University, combining his academic expertise with a lifelong love of reading.
